Before working as an investment banker Carlos had thirty years of international experience in consumer goods market strategies, channel development and brand management.
Carlos was President of Latin America for Mars Inc. and, as a member of the global management team, led the strategy for the Global Dog portfolio and its digital transformation. He had been a General Manager in Brazil, where he led a business transformation that doubled the business and expanded into other segments within the pet food category. He opened the Andean region after joining Mars Caribbean and Central America in Puerto Rico, where the company is the leader in chocolate, gum and sugar confections.
Carlos started his career in Unilever PLC as a Graduate Trainee after graduating in Business at Universidad Javeriana in Colombia. Has a Master’s in Strategic Marketing from the CESA business school and completed the Stanford Executive Education program on Strategy and Organization.
