Currently based in her native Sao Paulo, Renata Pompeo do Amaral Thomé is an investment and strategy executive with over a decade of hands-on international experience across venture capital, sustainable development, and early-stage innovation in Latin America, the United States and Europe.

Renata advises NYBay on Brazil-focused deal sourcing and cross-border strategic partnerships.  She has held leadership and investor-facing roles in venture capital firms and impact-driven organizations, including Boxfund VC and ProNatura International, and previously co-founded Alpha’a, a New York–based art-tech startup backed by HNW investors which for almost a decade set the stage for innovation in contemporary art discovery and investing online.  Renata's determination to achieve is evident by her having completed her first NYC Marathon (2025) in under four hours!
